Our cladding has featured on many a prestigious project, but last night saw the first appearance of our Scotlarch cladding on renowned TV show Grand Designs..we have to say it looked stunning (and we were all a bit starstruck today)!!

The clients, Indi and Rebecca, saved for years to fulfil their dream of building an eco-friendly house and art studio on the picturesque North coast of Skye.  Finally, with the cash to create their home, they employed Skye architects Rural Design to bring their ideas to life in the stunning coastal location of Kendram.

The resulting two bedroom house has, according to the architects, "a lozenge shaped plan, designed to minimise overall visual impact and to withstand the wild weather at the north end of Skye. It is constructed in timber with a turf roof - and is intended to merge into the landscape over time as the roof texture grows and the cladding fades to a beautiful silver".

For further information on this house, and for inspiration for your own self-build timber house, have a look at the project on the Grand Designs website.
