On site today, the main focus is installing the Natural Cladding to the underside of the overhanging roof as the soffit material. It is 70x16, uncoated Natural Cladding with a 12mm shadow gap between the boards; insect mesh and fixing batons with a black painted face behind. Untreated, the Natural Cladding will, over time, weather to a uniform silver grey colour and as it is a thermally modified timber offers outstanding durability and dimensional stability whilst also being incredibly light. It makes it the timber of choice not only for this detail of the build, but also for the proposed brise soleil.

The Accoya window frames supplied by Treecraft are lining up nicely and the first frames are already in place.
