Russwood are a progressive and ambitious company supplying high quality, responsibly sourced timber cladding, decking and flooring to both the domestic and trade sectors in the UK. Our headquarters are based in Newtonmore and we employ over 50 people throughout the company, including production, sales, admin and marketing. Continued growth means we are now looking for additional professional to join our team. The roles, which will create three brand new positions within the business are, Sales Manager, Marketing Assistant and Flooring Sales Advisor.
All three roles are based in Newtonmore, a small, friendly village located in the Cairngorms National Park. These roles are all office based and not suitable for remote working arrangements. While relocating for a new job can seem a daunting prospect, Newtonmore and the surrounding villages offer a fantastic place to live for those who are considering a move. Just a mile and a half off the A9, Newtonmore is ideally located for accessing a wide range of amenities and activities. The village itself has a Co-op supermarket and Post Office, Aviemore is 14 miles North, where larger supermarkets and more amenities are available.
The local area is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts with walking, cycling, fishing, golf, canoeing, skiing, climbing and just about any outdoor activity you can think of available nearby. We consider ourselves very lucky to have such an adventure playground on our doorstep! If you would rather watch than take part, Newtonmore Shinty Team play most Saturdays at the Eilan and if you are more of an indoor person, there’s a cinema at Macdonald Aviemore Resort and plenty of great cafes, pubs and restaurants to enjoy.
While the business has grown hugely and we’ve built our reputation on professionalism and being experts in our field, we’re proud to say that Russwood stills retains the feel of a family business. It’s a friendly and supportive place to work and you’ll find there’s always someone willing to help if you’re stuck. Transparency and inclusion are very much part of the business and we hold regular company updates where our Managing Director shares financial information and plans for growth with the whole team.
Our purpose-built office is located next to the train line in Newtonmore. It’s a modern, open-plan, cosy office with views to the hills (and trains!). There’s a fully equipped staff kitchen and break out area so you can get away from your desk on your lunch break – oh and everyone gets cake on their birthday!
The Sales Manager role offers an opportunity to contribute to Russwood’s growth and development. The primary focus of this role is the management, development and coaching of our Cladding Sales Team to consistently deliver our ambitious sales targets. We are looking for a highly organised, diligent sales leader with excellent time management skills. Most importantly you will be able to demonstrate your ability to manage, develop, coach and motivate our Cladding Sales Team to ensure ongoing sales targets are met. Does this sound like you? The Marketing Assistant role is an exciting new position within our busy Marketing Department. Do you have an interest in interior design and the use of wood products? The role also requires you to carry out flooring tours on site, develop an understanding of national trading conditions, competitors, market opportunities and buyer behaviours as well as represent Russwood at shows and events.
