The threat of fire must be considered in any new construction project.

In certain circumstances, and in particular for projects such as schools and public buildings, Building Control may stipulate that timber cladding must be treated with a fire retardant. The use of cavity fire barriers may also be required.

Russwood's main product solution is Sentrin FRX, which is impregnated under factory-controlled conditions prior to supply. Fire cavity barriers are available to purchase from our on-line shop.

For all scenarios, check that the product being considered is suitable for use and, if required by Building Control, ensure that the selected product is of the correct specification.
