With exceptional lengths of three to five meters, and a generous width of 350mm Douglas Fir boards are designed to span entire rooms seamlessly. Board options
Boards are supplied engineered, which enhances stability and ensures compatibility with underfloor heating systems. The boards feature a three-layer construction, comprising two outer layers of 4mm Douglas Fir and a 9mm Birch plywood core. Tongue and groove edges on all four sides and subtle bevelling along two long sides, guarantees a seamless and stylish installation.
Laying styles
Offered in the classic plank style, Douglas Fir Flooring boasts extended lengths and generous widths. The boards can be seamlessly installed to cover the entire expanse of your room, or creatively extended onto the walls for a striking interior design statement.
Process
Each board is sanded and gently brushed before being prefinished with a hardwax oil. Expert milling and craftsmanship, combined with cutting-edge equipment and a meticulous approach to finishing ensure the highest quality finish.
Grades
Clear grade with some small, discreet knots. In instances where larger knots were present, dowels have been skilfully incorporated to ensure a flawless finish.
Density
Classified by BS EN 350-2 as approximately 530 Kg/m³ at a moisture content of approximately 6-8%.
Finish
The boards are thoughtfully prefinished with hardwax oil, enhancing the contrast between early and latewood. This not only contributes to the captivating visual appeal but also simplifies maintenance and enhances overall durability.
Board sizes
Impressive dimensions of 350mm in width and long lengths spanning three to five metres showcase the remarkable diameters and soaring heights of the Douglas Fir trees.
