Arosfa Interior Design is leading by example, with the designer’s own home showcasing her creativity – and Russwood flooring playing a starring role.

Located in the Victorian splendour of Merchiston, Edinburgh, the property boasts enviable period features, with high ceilings, wood panelling, original tiles and cast iron fireplaces.

Here, Arosfa Interior Design can showcase their creativity and offer clients a stylish and welcoming space to browse samples and mood boards. It’s also the perfect setting for Russwood’s contemporary take on parquet flooring, Grande Parquet – a premium grade product that adds a modern twist to traditional parquet flooring, with wide ‘Grande’ boards.

Arosfa Interior Design opted for on-trend Washy Grey, one of a selection of colours and finishes available. The flooring seamlessly links the drawing room, family room and kitchen, allowing the architectural detail to breathe whilst making an unmistakable statement in style and character.

Arosfa Interior Design said: “The floor needed to have character, complement the period of the house and merge all three rooms together. The smoked treatment certainly gives the wood character and brings out different tones, together with the grey wash making the floor really interesting.  The parquet style is a nod to traditional but the ‘Grande’ element gives it a more contemporary feel and suits the scale of the space.”

“Russwood were very professional and extremely helpful throughout the process. At every stage they were interested to learn how the project was progressing. Nothing was too much trouble.”
