Established in 1567, Rugby School in Warwickshire is one of the UK’s leading independent schools and the birthplace of the now-famous sport. As such it sets a naturally high standard in terms of architectural design, with a beautiful historic campus comprising stone built halls and spires, set in acres of open playing fields.

Against this illustrious backdrop, TSH Architects were briefed to create a distinctive new office and workshop for the Estates Department. The Architects settled on a clean rectangular design with bold vertical cladding, complemented by a wall of glazing overlooking the playing fields.

To achieve a natural finish, TSH Architects selected Russwood Scotlarch®, a durable, sustainable and cost-effective timber locally sourced. The Board on Board arrangement provides a beautifully uniform and elegant finish, and the choice of vacuum coating in Minchin and FI044 adds a warmth that will soften into the surrounding landscape.

TSH Architects described Russwood as offering "excellent technical support and a competitively priced, quality product".
