SiOO:X Wood Protector (Part 1)
SiOO:X is a patented Silicon technology, which is applied in two parts.
SiOO:X Wood Protection Maintenance Wash
Cleaning is a vital part of sustaining treated timber in good order to keep it free from dirt and any surface algae formation. SiOO:X Maintenance Wash is designed to complement the SiOO:X Wood Protection system which is alkaline based. The Maintenance Wash is a concentrated surfactant cleaning fluid which is diluted in water to a strength sufficient to perform the cleaning task in hand. It is brushed on to the timber surface, left to soak in and then washed away after a period of time. The Maintenance Wash contains no toxic substances and is environmentally friendly.
SiOO:X is suitable for many common species including Larch, Cedar, various hardwoods, and certain modified woods eg thermally modified pine. Please contact our sales team for further information on species suitability.
Dirt and superficial growth of mildew and algae – clean with the Maintenance Wash. Use a stronger cleaner if necessary. Apply a coat of Premium Surface Protector.
Major damage and exposed areas – treat first with the Premium Wood Protector.

Product Details
Mix 250ml of the 1 litre bottle of SiOO:X maintenance wash to 5ltr of clean water. This will give a coverage rate of 35m2 per 5ltr. Note that porosity of the timber will affect the above coverage rate.
Stir to allow both products to mix together. Apply the diluted cleaner to the area using a soft bristle brush (car washing brush is perfect).
Once the cleaner has been applied it will start to aerate & foam up on the surface. It is extremely important to leave the cleaner on the surface for a minimum of 20 minutes.
Clean the surface with clean water. For any persistent surface dirt & algae re-apply the above. Allow all cleaned surfaces to dry.
Re-apply a full bodied coat of SiOO:X Surface Protection to all areas including any end grain and cross cut sections.
